Oil Prices March 24, 2020

I have no idea what happened to my other posts. We bought oil in 2019 October. I paid 3.79 per gallon. It was so high, I bought only 200 gallons. I then bought oil again, in December and I paid 3.50 a gallon I think it was. I bought again in Feb. when I bought 200 gallons for 500.00 it was 2.49 per gallon so I actually got 200.7 gallons. It is now lower.
Gallons | Cash/Check Per Gallon |
Credit/Debit Per Gallon |
*50+ | 3.99 | 3.99 |
*100+ | 2.56 | 2.61 |
*150+ | 2.46 | 2.51 |
*200+ | 2.26 | 2.31 |
*400+ | 2.24 | 2.29 |
*600+ | 2.22 | 2.27 |
This is actually up 11 cents a gallon from its low. President Trump promised the oil companies the Government would intervene to save them from losing money, so…..the American people suffer again so major corporations can continue to make obscene profits.

I bought oil today. I got it at Best Oil . It was 3.06. It had been lower than 3.00 but I never saw that price. Then it went up, and up and up. I gambled and it paid off, it came down and I ordered at 3.06. It is up today to 3.10. I paid 1224.00 for 400 gallons. Gosh it would be nice if it would come down .
the price at Priestly for 400 gallons was 3.25 a gallon. That is why I stick with Best Oil. It is a case of a big company buying up a lot of the small companies. We used Larsen Oil for YEARS. They were always the cheapest, and if you were out of oil, they did everything to get it to you same day. Then First Call bought them out. Immediately the price of their oil went way up. They have been buying up little Mom and Pop companies and there are precious few of them left. You see the difference in cost. Mine today was 3.06. Same oil, same day First Call 3.25 per gallon. No extra service, no nothing AND the 3.25 is after their two discounts. My friend and neighbor used First Call for years, had an arrangement with them for auto fill, in summer etc supposed to deliver when the price was lowest. NOPE never happened. Price would rise, then her tank would be filled. They also did her furnace repairs and you guessed it, they over charged, did shoddy work. Soon they may be the only choice we have. IF they obtain a monopoly we are all screwed.
Oil Price 8/15/2018

I just checked oil price today. 3.09 for 400 gallons. I HOPE that price goes down before I must order oil, at Best Oil. Best Oil is who I have been using for several years since our most favorite sold to First Call. I checked another oil company, who appears to have been purchased by, wait for it First Call.
In a surprising turn of events, for the first time ever First Call beat their price: This is what was on the Priestly and Son Heating and Cooling which pops up as First Call.
