Anchor change
by Chris on Jan.15, 2013, under Bow Tuning
I made a small change to my anchor last night, so that the knuckles on both my middle and index fingers straddle either side of the point of my jaw bone. I think this might help to eliminate or at least reduce tipping the release at different angles.
Release change – lighter
by Chris on Jan.13, 2013, under Bow Tuning
I sped the release up quite a bit. I moved the small mark on it to line up with the centerline, but that was a bit too fast. I tweaked it a couple times but now the mark is around 7:30 (with the blue side to the right).
Result: getting through my shot a little faster. Not inking much about thumb placement.
Added .5 twist to Yoke cable 2011 Dominator
by Chris on Jan.13, 2013, under Bow Tuning
Creed tune revealed a slight variance so I added .5 twists to the string.
Result: no variances in vertical placement during creep tune.
Lengthened bow string Dominator 2012
by Chris on Jan.13, 2013, under Bow Tuning
I removed 4 twists. (May have only been 3.5).
Result: feels better, especially with new change to cable length as the result of the creep tune test.
Rest change – 2012 Dominator
by Chris on Jan.11, 2013, under Bow Tuning
I lowered the rest to accommodate the 2712s and 150gr points. I’m not sure how many lines I adjusted it, but the old values are marked. It is now on the 4th line from the top.
I also made a minor change to the horizontal setting, moving it IN about 1 full line and then an additional line-width.
